Class starting outCore - (10 Week Group Class)

Anything is possible for you and your dog.
And it starts here.

Our reputation for creating positive, life-changing results for our clients is built on this comprehensive program.  core is lifestyle training  - we teach you how to educate your dog.  With a deep understanding of canine behaviour and psychology, combined with real-life class experiences, you will have the tools to create a well-balanced dog who you can manage and keep safe in practically any situation.

core is a group class that takes place in a variety of locations across the city – parks, neighbourhoods, downtown – and even into the mountains.  This one comprehensive program covers everything you need to know how to progress from loose leash walking to having your dog off leash walking beside you by the course halfway point at 5 weeks!  This is all done while helping you become your dog’s greatest reward.  A positive relationship based on mutual trust and respect – that’s the foundation for you to experience freedom with your dog.

Here's how it works

Our core program is offered twice per year – spring and fall.  With three classes per week, you receive continuous support so skills are practiced and reinforced correctly and effectively – ensuring you never have to experience frustration waiting for an answer or to correct your technique.  You make continuous progress week after week and even break bad habits more quickly by reinforcing positive behaviour in this intensive program.

The program is made up of hands-on practice that takes place in a variety of locations so you can learn how to work with your dog anywhere you wish to take them. Each class is 1.5 to 2 hours long.  We introduce a number of exercises designed to build your dog’s confidence and yours!  By advancing through a number of commands you will learn how to trust your dog in any environment.

clevercanines puts a lot of empathise on helping you understand canine communication through body language and signals. Knowing what your dog is saying to you at any time will create a strong partnership and form an amazing connection between you and your dog.  We guide you through this in a variety of ways throughout the program - including a half day seminar followed by a park observation.

A dedicated team will lead and support you through each session.  Your instructor is also available for you throughout the week.  They will answer all your questions via email, phone or on a one-on-one basis in class.  Handouts, homework and valuable information seminars will round out your education for the most comprehensive canine education experience!C-Train

core can be a great solution for behaviour challenges you’d like to better understand and manage.  And the group class setting provides a positive environment for you and your dog to learn together.  This is also a great program if you’re looking to try something new or different and just have fun with your dog.  Regardless of your goal, the outcome is the same;  the ability to have a life with your dog beyond your expectations.

Although it is not mandatory to attend all 30 classes, we do recommend you come to as many as possible in order to achieve outstanding results.  We have some flexibility when it comes to helping you make up classes or lessons you might miss due to your schedule.

Yes, this course is a big commitment, but having a dog is a big commitment. There is no magic wand in training. You have to put the time and energy into educating your dog in order to have a respectful companion you can trust in any situation.

Involve your entire family.  It really helps your dog when the whole ‘pack’ is motivated and excited to work together.

We refer to the core program as lifestyle training. We teach you how to educate your dog, creating a solid foundation and a life with your dog beyond what most people imagine. Our clients enjoy our group classes because they are scheduled, consistent, social, interactive and informative, and because you get to meet and work with other dogs and their owners.

We hope you decide to join us!
