An outdoor area that is specifically designed for dogs!
We have 7,600 square feet of fully turfed outdoor yards for your dog to play and learn in. Our yards use K9 Grass to ensure the cleanest and most durable outdoor space in any dog daycare in the city. We also have an attached 150-foot-long agility course for your dog to experience. Our yards are kept snow-free all winter and shaded in the summer so the dogs that love to play outdoors always have the best play space in Calgary!

Clever Canines operates one of Calgary’s most established dog training facilities, designed specifically for both training and daycare programs. Our 10,000-square-foot facility includes three flexible training rooms and direct access to 7,600 square feet of turfed outdoor training space, allowing dogs to learn in multiple environments.
The facility was thoughtfully designed through more than twenty years of hands-on training and daycare experience to create a clean, calm, and comfortable learning environment for both dogs and their owners in Calgary.

Clever Canines Dayschool is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. We are closed on weekends and statutory holidays. Our extended hours allow clients flexibility for both early drop-offs and evening pick-ups, making it easier to fit Dayschool into your routine.

In addition to reinforcing everyday manners, dogs participate in a daily engagement exercise that may include skills such as recall, stays, agility, confidence-building exercises, impulse control, or tricks. Activities vary throughout the week to keep learning engaging and fun.

No. Dogs are supervised 100% of the time while in our care.
Our team actively monitors play, guides social interactions, facilitates training activities, and ensures dogs remain safe and engaged throughout the day. We typically maintain a ratio of approximately 15 dogs per trainer, allowing us to provide appropriate supervision and support.

Crating is not a regular part of our daily schedule. Most dogs spend their day participating in supervised activities, socialization, training, and rest periods within their group.
However, there are times when a dog may benefit from a quiet break, or an owner may request a scheduled nap. Puppies six months of age and younger who are fed lunch at Dayschool are fed individually and rest in a crate for approximately one hour afterward to allow for proper digestion and help reduce the risk of gastric torsion (bloat).

All dogs begin with a Dayschool Assessment Day. This allows our team to get to know your dog, evaluate their social skills, and determine which play group will provide the best experience.
You'll also participate in a short orientation where we'll walk you through our facility, explain how Dayschool works, and answer any questions you may have.
The assessment helps set your dog up for success from the very beginning. Once completed, you'll be able to book Dayschool visits through your online account and start enjoying everything Dayschool has to offer.
