Clever Pups - Puppy Training Classes
THE BEST START FOR A LIFETIME WITH YOUR DOG
Clever Pups is a structured puppy training class designed for Calgary puppies between 9 and 20 weeks of age, the most important stage of behavioural development.During this stage, puppies are learning how to interact with people, other dogs, and the world around them. The Clever Pups program focuses on socialization, confidence building, and teaching early manners that shape behaviour as puppies grow.
Owners learn how puppies think and learn, while puppies begin developing foundational skills such as recall, loose leash walking, polite greetings, and self-control.

Foundations - Dog Training Classes
WHERE EVERYDAY SKILLS BECOME RELIABLE HABITS
The Foundations program provides dog training classes in Calgary designed to help dogs of any age develop reliable behaviour at home and in real-world environments.
This program focuses on building clear communication between dogs and their owners while developing skills that help dogs remain calm and responsive around distractions.
Dogs begin strengthening important behaviours such as loose leash walking, recall, focus, and polite behaviour around people and other dogs.

The Core program focuses on helping dogs develop the confidence, reliability, and self-control needed to navigate real-life environments.
Unlike traditional indoor dog training classes, many Core sessions take place in parks and public spaces throughout Calgary, helping dogs learn skills that transfer beyond a training class.
This program helps dogs develop the reliability and confidence needed to accompany their owners in everyday life.

Club Evolve – Continuing Education for Dogs
ONGOING TRAINING FOR DOGS WHO ARE READY FOR MORE
Club Evolve is a year-round training membership designed for dogs who have completed the Core program and are ready to continue developing their skills.
Members can attend a variety of training sessions that reinforce existing skills, introduce new challenges, and provide continued mental stimulation.
This program allows dogs and owners to keep practicing, learning, and growing together while maintaining the progress they have already achieved.
Clever Canines operates one of Calgary’s most established dog training facilities, designed specifically to create a calm, safe, and effective learning environment for dogs.
Our 10,000-square-foot training facility includes three flexible training rooms and direct access to 7,600 square feet of outdoor training space, allowing dogs to learn in multiple environments.
The facility was designed through more than twenty years of training and daycare experience to support both dogs and their owners during training.

Most training classes take place at the Clever Canines training facility in Calgary where we have the option to work both in and outdoors based on weather. The Core program travels to different parks and public spaces throughout Calgary.

No previous training experience is required. Our programs are designed to guide both dogs and owners step by step. Instructors demonstrate each skill, explain the purpose behind the exercises, and provide coaching throughout the class so owners feel confident practicing with their dogs.
